Meet Our Staff

We are blessed with a wonderful support team here at Holy Emmanuel! All serve the Lord and Holy Emmanuel with enthusiasm and bring their unique gifts to our congregation.

Serving Holy Emmanuel since 1996, Pastor Dennis Starr brings a wealth of experience and education to his ministry. Led by the spirit of God and the encouragement of friends, he trained for the pastoral ministry at Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He also holds his Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia Teacher’s College, Seward, Nebraska. Prior to coming to Holy Emmanuel Pastor Starr served as the Associate Pastor and Youth Director at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chaska, Minnesota for over 12 years. Pastor Starr lives in West Bloomington with his wife, Carol. He remains a devoted Vikings and Twins fan.

Natalie Mylander, Director Open Arms ECC (Christian Early Childhood Center) and Youth Ministries is a life-long member of Holy Emmanuel. Natalie has served our congregation in many ways over the years – teaching children about God's love has always been Natalie's passion.

We have been blessed with Rick Marko as our Director of Music at Holy Emmanuel for many years. Rick works enthusiastically with our Praise Band and Choir to bring the joy of Christian music to our worship services. He is a talented musician himself and enjoys playing the guitar and singing with the band every Sunday.

Judy Hauschild–Church Organist and Pianist, is the most recent addition to Holy Emmanuel's church staff. We hope to have her with us for many years to come!

We'd really be in a real bind without Candy Frein, our church secretary. She is a whiz on the computer and keeps Holy Emmanuel running smoothly.
